We know auditions can be intimidating, so we work to make them easier. There is a place at EYSO for all students with 2+ years of experience. Your audition helps our directors to place you where you’ll play your best.
Auditions typically include:
- A solo piece and/or specific excerpts for your instrument
- Scales
- Sightreading

Join the Chamber Music Institute
EYSO’s Chamber Music Institute lets you play as a soloist in small groups with your friends, like string quartets, brass trios, or woodwind quintets. It’s a chance to lead, grow creatively, and build new skills.
No extra audition is needed—just indicate your interest on your audition application, and your EYSO audition will be used for placement.
