Don't let the words "Youth Orchestra" fool you. In the words of one audience member, "you won't believe kids are playing."

At EYSO, we aim to present performances that are engaging and meaningful for everyone. Whether you subscribe to the Chicago Symphony or have never been to the orchestra, we're confident these performances will capture your attention. EYSO presents several public concerts and events throughout the year, including:

  • Twelve main season concerts featuring all eight of EYSO's large ensembles 
  • Six free Chamber Music Institute concerts (3 in the fall and 3 in the spring)
  • Occasional special events and performances throughout the year.

  • Food & beverages: Available for purchase, not permitted in the theater

  • Photography and video recording are welcome; however, the use of flash in any form is not permitted.

Chamber Music Institute Concerts
All Chamber Music Institute concerts are free and no tickets are required.

2How does the livestream work?
The livestream will be available at the start of the concert on our EYSO YouTube Channel.
3What venue does EYSO use at Elgin Community College?
Main season concerts are held in the Blizzard Theater and CMI concerts are held in the Spartan Theater.
4Is parking available at the venue?
Yes. Free parking is available in all open campus lots.

6When does the box office open?
The box office is open Monday–Thursday from 12 pm to 6 pm and Saturdays from 12 pm to 5 pm. It also opens 90 minutes before each performance.
7How do I purchase tickets for EYSO concerts?
Tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or in person through the ECC Arts Center Box Office. Tickets are not required for our CMI concerts.
8Is public transportation available to the venue?
Yes. PACE bus routes 801 and 802 serve the Elgin Community College campus.
9How long are EYSO concerts?
Concerts typically last between 90 and 120 minutes.
10Are children allowed at concerts?
Yes, and we hope you'll bring the whole family! While children of all ages can attend, to ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests, please be prepared to step outside with younger children between performances if needed.
