Message from the Chamber Music Institute Director

It’s here!

We’re at the culminating recital for the 20-21 CMI season, and what a day to celebrate. We’re back in our “home” space in the Spartan with three live-streamed performances, showing off two semesters of precious in-person rehearsal.

Thank you to all of our students and coaches for putting in the time and the effort and the imagination to create music this year. While I can’t wait to resume traditional performances with live audiences, I hope CMI families will take advantage of the ease of sharing the livestream and show off this performance to friends near and far. This is a moment worth sharing! Despite masks, distancing, and all the challenges of this year, we have 21 ensembles who can all be proud of their growth together today.

I treasure the commitment and daring of the 20-21 CMI cohort. Thank you to the parents and the community for supporting EYSO and the students in their music-making. I hope chamber music has given students many joyful memories through the year - now that it’s concert time, let’s add one more!
