Addicott Summer Chamber Music Festival
Deadline March 1st, 2025
The inaugural season of the Addicott Summer Chamber Music Festival will take place from July 17-27, 2025. The Euclid Quartet will perform and provide coachings and mentorship throughout the duration of the festival. In addition, we have an all-star line-up of guest artists including the Dover and Calidore String Quartets joining us to perform and work with students. Taking place on the campus of Indiana University South Bend, the Festival offers an immersive chamber music experience for a small group of string students ages 15-22.

In Webster Universityās Department of Music, students collaborate in noteworthy performance ensembles, integrate the study of music theory, history and literature into practice and pursue excellence on a primary instrument in applied lessons, all under the direction of outstanding artists and teachers. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), we have 16 undergraduate and graduate programs including Music Education, Instrumental and Vocal Performance, Composition, Songwriting and a first-in-the-country Bachelor of Music in Music Direction for Musical Theatre. Our curriculum promotes a collaborative environment while fostering a lifelong habit of excellence in performance, creativity, scholarship and teaching.

National Youth Orchestra 2025
Applications Now Open: National Youth Ensembles
Each summer, Carnegie Hallās national youth ensembles bring together the brightest young American instrumentalists for intensive training and performances on some of the worldās greatest stages. The National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2, and NYO Jazz are free and led by all-star faculties of professional musicians. As national ensembles, these programs include a broad range of musicians from across the country that reflect the exceptional talent and diversity of the United States.
Programs begin in July 2025. Musicians ages 14ā19 are invited to apply!

Solo Concerto Competition with the West Suburban Symphony
Application due January 24, 2025
The West Suburban Symphony is delighted to announce our 2024-25 competition. It is open to string, woodwind, brass and vocal musicians in grades 9-12, with a $500 prize to the winner. The winner will perform with the West Suburban Symphony at our June 22, 2025, concert at Wentz Hall in Naperville.

Musicians Club of Women Annual Awards Competition 2025
Applications open November 1st, 2024 - January 15, 2025
Open to women-identifying musicians residing or studying in IL, IN, Ml, WI, MN, IA.
Since 1875, the Musicians Club of Women (MCW) has been proud to support the professional aspirations of young women musicians in the Midwest. We continue this tradition through our annual merit-based competition, awarding over $50,000 annually for the professional development and advancement of talented young musicians. We strive for ever higher standards of fairness, inclusion, and artistry by re-examining our competitionās eligibility and category delineations regularly, and as such we are pleased to announce the following information about this coming yearās competition.
The 2025 Competition will launch in November, 2024. First round is virtual for instrumental and vocal. Instrumental Finals March 1 and Vocal Finals March 8, 2025.

Fulton Summer Music Academy
Priority deadline January 31st, 2025
Fulton Summer Music Academy is a 4-week intensive training program for serious string and piano players taught by world-class faculty. Students range from pre-college to pre-professional and are looking for a focused experience regardless of career plans.
Madeleine Island Chamber Music
Application deadline February 10th
Every summer, we welcome around 70 high school and college students from across the country to our program. Located just a 4-hour drive from the Twin Cities, Madeline Island Chamber Music offers students an extraordinary setting to deepen their craft and connect with a supportive community of musicians.
Our faculty roster includes many distinguished musicians who teach at top conservatories and music schools across the country. This provides a unique opportunity for high school students considering a college degree in music to work directly with potential mentors and gain insight into what to expect at the collegiate level.
Madeline Island Chamber Music offers an intensive chamber music curriculum, with daily coachings and rehearsals led by rotating faculty from renowned string quartets and chamber musicians, as well as weekly private lessons. This rigorous program balances intensity with plenty of time for students to enjoy the islandās inspiring environment.
Our 2025 sessions include:
Chamber Music for Winds: June 7-21
Chamber Music for Strings: June 22-July 12
Financial aid is available, covering an average of 50% of the program fees, and we offer transportation from Minneapolis to Madeline Island to ease travel.
