Simon Karkosch, CFA, lives in St. Charles with his wife Ashley and three daughters, Matilda, Amelie & Beatrix. His eldest daughter Matilda is in EYSO, participating in Sinfonia and the Chamber Music Institute. Although he hasn’t played cello since high school, he married his stand partner and loves music, particularly classic and hard rock, traveling with his family, cycling, and gardening.

Simon is passionate about giving back to the community and making the Fox Valley a better place to live and work. He appreciates the staff and Board’s hard work and passion to make the EYSO successful, and looks forward to helping the EYSO continue to be the premier youth orchestra in the Midwest.

Simon is CEO and owner of Milescraft, Inc., based in Elgin. Prior to Milescraft, Simon was an Investment Director for Prudential Global Investment Management and was based in Frankfurt, Germany.
